Course Description: This Master course represents a follow-up of the course "Current Issues in Literary Studies I.", and is designed to expand and build on the knowledge acquired in it. The aim of the course is to deepen the students' awareness of the current developments of literary practice and literary studies in the English-speaking world, based on the close reading of major critical studies and informed analysis of selected examples of primary literary texts. The course further develops the students' competence in critical thinking, as well as their ability to directly apply their knowledge of current literary theories to the analysis and interpretation of primary literary texts.
