Stylistics

The course is based on a structural, functional and communicative approach to linguistics. The course of English Stylistics provides a comprehensive overview of the methods and theories of stylistics. The content of the course enables students to uncover the layers, patterns and levels that constitute stylistic description of language. The students are introduced to key concepts in stylistics. The course provides them with text based explanations enabling them to assemble a composite picture of the core issues in both stylistic theory and practice.
